Can I have multiple Mighty players (Mightys/Mighties)?
We get the multiple Mighty question a lot. The answer is yes, you can have more than one Mighty connected to the same Mighty account and powered by a single Spotify Premium or Amazon Music Unlimited account.
If you have multiple people in your family who want a Mighty, they can all be setup and maintained using a single Mighty account. Spotify Premium allows offline listening on up to 5 different devices per account. Amazon Music Unlimited allows the user to have 10 offline devices. These offline device limitations are established by the streaming services themselves.
To setup a second or third (and beyond) Mighty player, follow the same process you use to connect and sync your first Mighty. Here are some tips:
- Open the Mighty app and turn the Mighty you want to connect on. NOTE: Having the previously connected Mighty off, will actually limit confusion and simplify the process. From within the app, you will only see the Mighty that is powered on and near your phone.
- From within the Mighty app click the connections tab in the lower left "chain link" icon
- From within the Bluetooth section of the connections tab, you will see the option to connect to a Mighty. The only the Mighty you see here will be the one that is powered up and near your phone.
- If you have multiple players powered on and near your phone, they will all show up here. By default, each Mighty has a 4-5 digit number assigned to it. Example Mighty3_1234. Most users don't know their device number by heart so only having one Mighty powered up at a time, can help limit confusion.
- Click the + option next to the device you want to connect and follow prompts within the app.
- Once you are connected to your Mighty, you can click the ">" next to the default Mighty name and rename it something specific "Billy's Mighty"
- Having each Mighty player named can help you keep things organized. Alternatively, only having one device on and being actively synced is also a solution.
