I turned my phone into a WiFi hotspot but it's not showing up in the app.

If your phone works as a WiFi hotspot, then you can connect Mighty to that network to sync your music. If you're an iPhone user there's a known limitation where you need to connect another device (like a laptop) to the hotspot in order for the network to show up in the Mighty app.
