Managing Your Spotify Podcasts

Podcast following and management happens within Spotify (app or website). So if you want to add a podcast to your Mighty, the first thing you want to do is to follow it on Spotify. All followed podcasts should show up within the Podcast folder on the "+" add content tab of the Mighty app. 

Syncing Podcasts to Mighty

1. Make sure your Mighty is plugged into a power source (you don't want the battery to die while syncing)
2. Open the Mighty app on your phone or tablet.
3. Confirm your Mighty is on (LED on and likely white/light pink ). If your Mighty is fully powered down, you might have to press and hold power for 3 seconds).
4. Within the Mighty app, verify your Mighty device is connected to your phone or tablet (chainlink icon in lower left). You should see your Mighty device name and a green check mark. 
5. With your Mighty connected to the app, tap to the browse section ("+" in the lower right of the Mighty app to view your playlists).
6. You will see your Spotify playlist populate (see below). You will also see a fold down section that says "Podcasts" above your playlists. 
7. Tap the Podcasts section.
8. Tap a podcast series to see a list of episodes in that series.
9. Tap the + button next to the podcast episode that you want to sync to Mighty.
10. Selected podcast episodes will show a pink chasing arrows icon in place of the + button.
11. Tap the "Sync" button in the top right to start the sync process.

Refreshing Podcasts on Mighty

If you refresh a podcast episode that is synced to your Mighty, the system will check for any new episodes from that podcast series. If a new episode is available, then it will be synced to your Mighty. If a new episode isn't available, then nothing will be synced to your Mighty. The episode that is currently synced to your Mighty will not be auto-deleted unless you use the Stay Fresh process to automatically refresh.

To manually refresh:

1. Go to the Home screen and tap the "Refresh All" button to refresh all of your podcasts.
2. If you only want to refresh some of your podcasts, tap the + button next to each playlist that you want to refresh. The "Refresh All" button will then show the number of podcasts that you have selected.
3. Tap the "Refresh" button to start the refresh process. Only the selected podcasts will be refreshed.

To automatically refresh using Stay Fresh:

1. Tap the three horizontal lines in the upper left-hand side of the Home screen to view the Settings menu.
2. Select the type(s) of content that you would like automatically update each night.
3. Select the time of day when you would like the automatic update to start. We recommend choosing a time in the middle of the night when Mighty won't be in use.
4. Tap "Save".

Note: Mighty must be plugged into a charger and within range of a known WiFi network in order for Stay Fresh to run at the chosen time each night.

Removing Podcasts from Mighty

1. Go to the Home screen and swipe left on podcast that you want to remove. A trashcan icon will be displayed.
2. Tap the trashcan icon to remove the selected podcast from your Mighty.
3. NOTE: this is the same process for playlists or podcasts.
